So.. me and JY been discussing.. CAM-C vs STP.

My Dodge seems like it would be happier in STP...

Pros/Cons ??
I already run 315s on 11s
Since Dodge has a seat delete in the Hell Cat.. would that be permissible in my car?? (70lbs)

STP only makes a class at Nationals. I don't think it made a class at any of the tours or pros I went to.

Why I wonder? Iv not been in the BIG CAR Loop long..
Seems way cheaper (relative term for sure) than CAM.. and from what Iv seen.. most CAM cars are no where near the rule set..

Self fulfilling prophecy... I'm not going to run STP because nobody runs there. Why do the STP guys run CAM...

It isn't like there are 5 STP cars in CAM at these events, either. There just aren't a lot of STP cars.

They did make a class at the tour at Springs Nats, but not the pro. They ran the same heat as STX at the the tour and the STP winner would have been 16th out of 21 in STX.

That was raw times. I had assumed that STP and CAM were supposed to be a lot faster than STX, but I guess not.

Still, STP isn't very competitive at this point. STP is just so expensive if you go with a newer car and you get more value with CAM.

If you buy new, you are at least at $50k with a mild ST build.

Yea not so sure it would cost more in STP than CAM, I think the opposite is true. I've entertained running STP next year at the Pros for 2 reasons, first being so I wouldn't get lumped in one big group with CAM S and second it would give Deonna a ladies class to run in. Only thing stopping me is I'd have to take my front/rear shock braces off and now put the backseat in. The only time I remember STP making a class was Toledo Champ. I just looked up results and I would have finished 3/6 right behind Cindy and 4.534 behind class winner vs where I finished in CAM 5/10 and 6.271 behind the leader.

I am trying to get cam ladies class for 2018 so the ladies would have a class to run against each other in cam.
