Pull the back seat, but that doesn't matter. Light battery, but that is all of ST. Race seat (good place to spead money to get a comfortable one)..
If one were to seriously try to get to minimum class weight you can replace all interior panels and dash. Only stipulation is it must look "finished". And of course things like radio and a/c go. Now advantage vs work probably not worth it but it's there.

I have talked to many that run cam and STP and almost all of them have said that car is illegal. I would tend to agree with the times it ran.
I'd be really surprised if the car was knowingly illegal. I "know" Ryan Otis through some iRacing leagues we've done. Yep - he's fast as balls virtually too.

You always hear rumors of cars being illegal when someone kills a class, but amazingly, no one has the cahones to put up the bond.

520 HP.. naw. not enuff.

remember Pilsons Signature....? 2 black marks between turns?? Thats about right. :?

Didn't you just put in a 3.09 ring and pinion that reduced torque at the wheels by 20% because it was hard to drive with the 3.90? Now you want more power??? Top speed in gear, of course, was also a factor. A supercharger with fairly low boost would likely give you a lot more low end torque, though. I've thought about getting one too even with over 100,000 miles on the engine.

I'm planning on going from a 3.55 to a 3.15 over the winter. If you do the calculation, a 3.55 with BFG's on 18 inch wheels has the same speed in gear as a 3.73 with Bridgestones on 19 inch wheels. A 3.15 with BFG's is the same as a 3.31 with Bridgestones. 3.31 was the ratio of choice for the 2011-2014 Mustangs in FS when 19 inch wheels were required. The 2015 and later Mustangs with the performance package only came with a 3.73 diff. They stopped being competitive in FS even with the IRS.

STP was invented because pony cars couldn't be made competitive in STX or STU.
Yes.. thats was the first step to a SC event. no way you can SC and 3.90 in that car.

plus, Im learning the car at each event.. so thats always a "moar powar" occasion .

Yep it will take papers to see and he is fast, but so is the GM factory guys that won cam and drive for GM and that is all they do and Ryan was 2 seconds faster in a less prepped car... I'm gonna have to call that car is illegal.

Plus the winning STP time was faster than some ESP and right on top of mine. Now I'm not the pointy end of the spear, but no way a STP car even with Brian Peters or Tom in it if it is legal runs those times.

Yeah, but you can't think about it that way. You have to compare pointy end to pointy end. Ryan is extremely pointy end.

Plus...those new Camaros...they are the real deal man.

I can only imagine! I've wondered what a CF hood would save?

With the brake package that has yet to be approved and that is one of the things mentioned that he has already done. I don't think that car is that good that it runs times with ESP cars even if we aren't pointy end lol

My mustang hood would only be 6 pounds lighter with CF or at least that was what it was 4 years ago when I looked at them.

Shoot, the ES winner had times for 5th in CAM. Top drives beat a lot of drivers/cars that they shouldn't, even at Nats.

If you go back to 2016 nats and look at FS and he only beat Courtney by .057 but was over 2 seconds faster than Courtney this year and Courtney didn't get worse as a driver.

A second per day for ST trim doesn't sound that crazy.

So, at 2018 Nationals... I could run CAM CHALLENGE, PRO SOLO STP or CAM-C and CAM-C or STP in National Competition?

is that correct?
