I mean...

Classes develop. People are going to get faster and put more in their car. Even stuff like STS. People ran Koni Race and DC Sport forever on the Hondas. Then you "had" to have Motons and a fancy longtube that gets smashed on train tracks and the Burns stainless, etc, etc, etc. That'll happen with CAM and probably relatively quickly because the classes are huge and it doesn't appear to be going anywhere.

You already have past Indy 500 winners and literal catalog cars at Nats in CAM. And the car that won CAMC has factory backing, and while a super mild build, they have (from what I understand) ediff and shock development that none of us could access.

I just haven't seen people lose their minds when a class goes national. I just don't envision the Brian Peters types of our sport currently Scrooge McDuckin' it, waiting on that CAM jacket to dump a hundred grand or whatever.

With the new ss brake package about to be approved for the Camaros, I expect the money to have to start being spent to try and keep up with those cars or this will quickly become a cam spec Camaro class.

What's the deal with the brake package?

The Camaro does seem like a great choice. If I hated living indoors and eating, I'd think about one.

It is a better package and is suppose to keep it from going into ice mode.

when I rode with Jadrice in his new GT-350... I was amazed how hard he broke late into the only tight corner on course.. and it never went into ice mode.. He may have had it programmed out.. I dunno.

Had I waited that late.. Id still be trying to stop the car...

Not if you put carbotech pads on it John. You can wait that late with your car and with the gt350 they have that problem worked out and to my knowledge no gt350 has experienced the ice mode.

I thought that you could mostly dial out the ice mode with the Camaro with shock tuning.

What is the high traffic site for CAM talk? I was on some kind of FB group, but some people got mad and now it seems to be dead.

CAM Nation. When people got pissy they split into 2 groups. The dead one I think is titled Original CAM Nation and the one more active is just plain CAM nation.

And it looks like everyone gets to redesign their rear spoilers and add 2" more.
