Last Event

Wow that course came up fast when you needed to turn. I sucked at it all day long. Any more comments?

Good to try something different there. It was definitely busy in a big car. I never got the backside offsets right on a good run.

Sucks to suck - I got completely lost on my first run and almost DNF'd.. been a long time since I've done that. Apparently I should've stayed in bed.

Course was surprisingly fun and pretty challenging to thread a big car through several of the elements. Thanks again Mr. Disney for letting me wheel the Z06. Such a monster of a car, even bad days on mostly fried tires are fun in that thing - couldn't keep the back end behind it today and kept smacking cones with the rear wheels as it squirmed around. Looking forward to next year!

I think the course would've been a lot of fun in my Z06, but I had to borrow a car which I couldn't drive after 3 runs. It was a nice mix of places to put corner exits (over crests) which did interesting things to the handling balance of the old 911. Ended up carrying a front tire in the air over several parts of the course with mixed results when it landed. It wasn't that active of a course to drive in that car besides the exciting handling areas. I know I left a couple seconds on course, but had to bail in the middle of my third run with the manual steering rack on that car just jerking my shoulder too much through some of the pavement profile changes and the direction changes.

All the transitions were wide open in the Spyder, late or not, so any time found was in your driving line and not your aggression...

...but it was the fun "I' feel like a champ" kind of wide open and not the "what else could I be doing with my time" wide open you sometimes get in an ES car.

With that said, a full year of Cathers in Pro in that car is scary.

Yeah James would have had top pax by 1.3 seconds if not for the cones. He was hauling ass....I thought that course was a very good course if you were not late and very busy in a big car, but loads of fun. Great job JB on course design and it didn't seem like we were on the bumps in the middle section either. Good year end event overall. JY

Thanks for the course comments. :D

..as usual, if I could do it over.. Id prolly speed up the far section just a tad. The tight lefty was a lil more lefty then I had planned..

Thanks for the ride in the 500 JY! I wish I had belted myself in better.. the 6.4 and the 500 feel very similar on acceleration and transitions..digging out of a corner is near identical.. the huge difference is off throttle, into a slow corner..and hard braking, WOW! and the gearing issue I have in my car.. I was on the rev limiter 4 times on course.. never even got close in the 500 it didnt feel like. However, as Steve V. had already tried.. 3rd was just a touch too high, and slow corners were boggy..

Thanks for all the help with the event.. its easy to forget what all goes on "behind the curtain"

Just a shout out to Steve V and Jim Thomas as they finished ahead of Dave Disney and it looks like cam is shaping up to be a good class next year for sure.

Yeah. CAM has gotten crazy the last few events. Good to see. I love to see when a class is strong.

Great course! It was a lot of fun. I didnt think it was too busy, i thought everything flowed really well and i only managed to catch one cone. It was good to do something different through the lot, especially the back section much like we did earlier in the year when we started back there.

Thanks JB for the last run in your car. Handling is much improved and I cant wait to see what I can do with mine next year with the changes I have planned.

It was a great event and a great way to end the season.

Yes, congrats to those guys for bringing a better game than I did yesterday... but I'll get you next year (as soon as I figure out WTF Cathers is doing) :pirate:

Dave, not sure if you've read this, but when I think about what you were saying, it came to mind.

I actually thought the pinchy left was one of the more fun parts of the course.
