New bump stops and realign the car. Oh, and need to buy one tire to have a full set of freshies. Really looking forward to the year. A lot of our stiffest CS competition has moved to STR, so this year is put up or shut up.

Long game, I think this might be my last year as a car owner. Have done that process 3 times now (WRX, RX8, Miata) so next year I might try to do something different. Otherwise STR is my loose plan for 2019.

Try to make all that weight change direction better:

Ridetech coil overs
All bushings to poly
Adjustable front and rear upper control arms
3.09 diff (from a 3.90)
18x11 wheels with 315 BFGs
Adjustable sway bar end links

Tire trailer.
Rebuilt shocks.
A little softer springs (475/400 f/r vs 550/475)
New rod ends for the Watts Link.
18x12 wheels with 335/30 BFG Rival S tires
Adjust the bump steer in the front if necessary.
3.15 rear axle ratio from 3.55, ~75mph @ 7500 rpm in second gear
Get all this done at the beginning of the season and stop messing with the setup during the season.

The Stang or one of the Miatas?
Focused on Mustang. Welding in frame connectors, upping spring rate on rear, torque arm, watts link. Removing rear sway, panhard bar and upper links in rear. Shedding/transferring weight from front to rear.

Careful what you wish for.

Tim Pitts needed two wreckers to get his car back on the trailer at the runoffs - wrecked it on the fifth practice lap after he got the brakes he thought he wanted (interior f/r bias control).

Careful with it - it will bite you hard and fast...

Ricky Rudd's 1990 pit road accident got driver adjustable brake bias banned from Nascar.

Watch what it did to a professional (doctoring up brake bias for better corner entry):

Are those coilover springs?
Yes on the front. The 2.5 inch diameter rear springs are still mounted on the axle tube in the stock location but with ride height adjusters and tender springs added. The logic of not using coilovers on the rear is that the shock mount on the axle tube wasn't designed for that kind of stress. I've seen S197 Mustangs racing in Touring 2 class using coilovers on the rear, though. The higher motion ratio at the shock mount means that coilover springs would also contribute more to roll stiffness than springs in the stock location.
