Yes on the front. The 2.5 inch diameter rear springs are still mounted on the axle tube in the stock location but with ride height adjusters and tender springs added. The logic of not using coilovers on the rear is that the shock mount on the axle tube wasn't designed for that kind of stress. I've seen S197 Mustangs racing in Touring 2 class using coilovers on the rear, though. The higher motion ratio at the shock mount means that coilover springs would also contribute more to roll stiffness than springs in the stock location.
Let me know if you want to sell the front springs
OK. It won't be right away.
No problem. I'm not even sure I'll need them

Looking for suggestions on muffler and high flow cat that will meet ETR sound requirements. Plan on replacing OEM cat and muffler with high flow cat and low back pressure muffler. Know that other members have solved this problem, looking for suggestions so don't reinvent the wheel.

Phil, look at dynamax mufflers . They are very good on flow and have several that are really quiet as this is the brand I went to when my mustang was close to breaking sound.

Anything abnormal with the stock configuration?

With the Spyder, the inlet and outlet on the stock muffler are both on the same side. If you want to stick with that configuration, options are pretty limited. I went with a Magnaflow. 14210, I think. They have some 2 in 2 out options, too.

The mustang will actually have all four shocks newly re valved and rebuilt and for the first time in probably a couple years all four shocks working like they are suppose to and re grease all the bushings. I also have another set of k w variant 3 shocks for the mustang in case one goes bad as well as new rear lower control arms as a stand by as well. Tightened all bolts and nuts on the car and only thing left is to re align the car and go race.

Wow, that is scary. Thanks for the heads-up.

Yea - watch for it - it will bite you fast - usually when you get a little more grip than you had when you were setting up + testing.

Or you get a little more greedy / ambitious / whatever.

A little extra weight transfer off the rear = your fault / my fault / nobody's fault = suddenly you're a passenger going for a ride you're not going to enjoy.

Just finished rebuilding the motor. The only parts which were reused were the castings for the Block, Head and oil pan. Lookong forward to lighting the fire in this thing in a week or two.

Rebuilt the gearbox, ended up replacing the input shaft, layshaft gear, 2nd gear hub and 2nd gear syncro.

New hubs front and rear

Pretty unique Intercooler upgrade

Different size tires

Tractiom control digital controller upgrade

New ECU

A couple major weight relocation projects

Rebuilt the Blower as PM

Getting ready for new paint scheme.

All in al this was a pretty mild winter
