Feedback on events

Post by steverife »

So a while back, I think some of our membership gave some feedback to other members. And it have driven a lot of discussion.

I wanted to give more people a chance to give feedback, so I posted on FB. Same post/same opportunity right here for those not on FB.
Hey all. We are approaching the season, which means our solo committee, chiefs, and others involved in event planning are looking at ways to put on better events for the club.

We've received input from a few that is being considered, but not everyone was a part of that convo. If you have comments to share, I want you to be heard. What makes the events good/bad for you? What makes you want to/not want to come to events? Any aspect - class structure, run/work structure, start times, number of runs, courses, do you feel welcomed, how is the environment, what parts of the event are inefficient, what would make the events better, etc, etc, etc - anything. Good or bad. We want to be better, without losing what has made us successful. If you don't want to share publicly, you can message me. If you don't want to message me, message another core member.

I can't promise we can accommodate every idea, but I promise they will be read and considered.

Really glad you put this up. I’m rarely on FB.

Personally. I would LOVE to see the club have more Saturday events.
We only had one Saturday event last year, and it wasn’t even our best site.

Other groups such as CCR, Blue Ridge and even Highlands offer more Saturday events and seem to do OK number wise.

Would love to see a better mix vs 90% Sunday events.

Thanks.

My base schedule is 4/10's Mon-Thurs, so Saturday events now work great for me.

...but I've worked LATE Friday nights and/or Saturdays 90% of my working life, so I get why we don't.

CCR does Saturday events at zMax because they have to. On Sunday they couldn't start before noon, as I remember, and that isn't enough time for their usual entry numbers.
