Event 7 after action

Post by jcox07 »

Nice job by all involved in helping put on and clean up after the event, I think it was an awesome weekend of autocross at Bristol. JY

Well I enjoyed it. Big thanks to JY and John Brown for their help with the course, and everyone else who helped to pull off a relatively smooth event. My regret is that the 1st run group had to run in the rain, other than that it was all I hoped for... What did you all think?

If I knew it was going to rain, I might have gotten up early to autocross!

It was indeed a good weekend to stand on the hot asphalt, with the sun beating down 80% of the time. The Duelcross event was interesting and could have some legs with some additional setup and prep before and during the event. Event 7 was excellent with a high-speed maintenance course. I almost wished I'd brought the kart but had a blast in the Miotter and didn't have to drive the kart in the rain.

It was the most fun I have had at a local in a long time. JB and Steve and I had a blast in cam with each one of us knocking the other out of the top spot almost on every run. Still got to get the abs bug cured in the car and would have liked to have remembered to have run solo storm for those runs as it was a very fun course. JY

Had a great time all weekend.. hanging out after hrs and beer tasting was fun.. I dont get to do that often these days. I am extremly thrilled with how the big heavy Dodge is performing.. 250 more lbs off the front half and I think its there. Steve and I went crazy in air pressure and the difference was amazing.
A 3rd in the Dual-Cross and a 3rd in CAM-C... and loaded under its own power... Ill take that as a good event!
ps. I now know how low I can run the fuel level down too.. :)

I know I'm really green at this, but I thought this course was a blast! Just hate the morning session may not have enjoyed it quite as much.

The Dual Cross was a blast. A very different experience from a regular autox. Different pressure, different driving style because of the cone rule. Some teething pains but the important stuff worked. The course was fun, the class offsets seemed to work well. John Brown FLIES in that monster of his.

The course Sunday didn't fit my car at all, and I loved every minute of it. That course was just a lot of fun. My rev limiter is kinda tired this morning.

Good day I thought, course was very fast, nice to have something different than the usual to mix it up. My apologies to all the course workers for making them run. I think I hit more cones yesterday than I have in my entire career with ETR.

Ya know I've had an issue or three, but this one was the best of the year so far rev limiter included. (wonder what could have been in third) Course was great> thanks to all!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome course!!! Definitely one of the most fun I've ever driven. Good event overall. Thanks for all who helped to put it on.
