Solo Nationals question

Post by jcox07 »

As some may know a huge issue has surrounded the solo nationals in Lincoln during Labor day week. If you have gone to nationals and you would like to see the run days split into Tuesday/Thursday and Wednesday/Friday, just a simple yes or no and no explanation needed. Thanks JY

Not a fan of the split although it has no affect on me personally for this year.

I need to know from all that have gone or are going to go to nationals as our meeting is this weekend at the sediv meeting on Sunday after the R.E's breakfast and this way I have info from our region on those that do go to nationals. Thanks JY

Yes, I was fine with it, but I have somewhat more vacation time than some other folks.

Personally....selfishly.......I love it.

But

If any decision like this keep just one person from attending....it needs to be scrapped.

We shouldn't be disenfranchising a single member over a decision that is based on a "social" aspect of a race.

Competition first.....the SCCA doesn't need to be a party planner....they need to focus on putting on a smooth, controversy free, fair event.

Yeah, personally, I may or may not like it, but I can make it work.

...but previous me generally needed to show up at the office at least 1 day that nats week. When Aaron and I ran, Aaron had to work Friday. When Kristo/Curt/Heather and myself went out, we left Tuesday after work.

No on the split

This will hurt anyone that either is thinking of, or was planning on Flying in to drive and flying back out for whatever reason they have.

When I go, I'm there all week anyway, so on a scheduling deal, it makes no difference. I am not planning on going this year, but if someone said "Hey have an open seat if you can fly in on XX days" I would think about it.

Glad they paused this, and I'm sure the pitchforcks and torches were getting close to Topeka when they did.
