Event Chair/ Course Designers

Post by jcox07 »

We need Event Chairs for our local events and if you want to be a chair, it requires you to be on site early and stay late but you do get a free event for the one you chair. Please post up if you would like to be a event chair, as event chair you are responsible for making sure the van/trailer get to the site if it is required to be driven to the next site and not already there. Course design, if you would like to design a course please post up that you would as it also requires you be on site at the crack of dawn or if it is at Bristol you can set up on Saturday evening as all events at BMS are 2 day events and post up if you want to do a course. I need to check my autox calendar, which is at the house, but I will do a course at BMS. Unfortunately, I think I have to miss the Smokies event.

So much uncertainty for us this year so I can't commit as I usually would. Sept 26 tentatively for me.

I'll take course design for Aug 22.

Also, when we post up needing help/chair peeps/chiefs, we should make sure that the post goes on the Facebook group page also. Sadly, our forum doesn't get as much traffic these days, and I think that's part of the reason that there's fewer responses when assistance is needed.

I could be a co-chair/course designer if someone was willing to show me the ropes, get some experience running the show. Could get there early enough with Ariel to make sure that setup is covered as well.

Hey Nick, thanks for stepping up. Feel free to shadow me on Sunday while I'm setting up. Then you can do the same with another course designer next time. Should give you enough of an idea to get started or to see if you like it.

Also when you get some time, give this a read. It will give you some great information - https://cdn.connectsites.net/user_files ... 1454611722

How early would I need to be to help set up the course? I downloaded the PDF I'll make sure to give it a read before hand!

Generally course setup is a sunrise assignment. So pretty early.
