Street Modified?

Post by DynoBunny »

I want to run my Integra this year but I'm not sure about classes. I've read through the rules and think I need to run some type of modified class but not sure.

It has valvetrain/head modifications and also the stroke is 3mm greater then stock and the bore is 3mm greater then stock. Displacement is around 1.9l. Other then that there's no major changes to anything, it is gutted out but no major frame or suspension modifications.

Does anyone know what I should register under?

Edit: It's also on street tires, so would STM be Ok?

STM for Locals and SMF if you run a tire softer than 140 tread wear or if you run at a National Tour.

It's not legal for SMF with a gutted interior. You would most likely be in XP in out-of-region events. STM is fine locally.

Yea I checked that, I didn't think any of the prepared classes allowed bottom end mods.

Well just keep in mind that when you start removing interior pieces and other non essential parts, you basically are moving into "purpose-built racecar" territory. And when you get there it's really tough to develop rules to segregate cars any further

Damn I meant to quote not edit.

So I looked through prepared but I didn't see it allowing bottom end mods like that. I'm not going to worry about it if its ok to run STM locally, that's all I plan to do.

XP allows all kinds of engine mods including swaps. I'm pretty sure you would be fine there.
