DC Pro registration open

Post by Scoob »

I don't know if anyone is planning on attending but registration is open and it's more than half full already. I'll be there alone since Kieran will be in California.

Had fun at DC last year....but I think I'm gonna go run Spring Nationals instead. It's only about 3 hours further for me...but the gas bill is actually A LOT less. Those hills through Virgina KILL gas mileage when towing. That coupled with the fast that Spring Nationals is a Pro and a tour....AND is on the best surface in SOLO makes it a no brainer for me. I wish I had time and money to do both....but that just isn't in the cards this year.

I'll always be partial to the DC Pro and WDCR in general since I have a lot of friends there (and even more who come to the Pro) and that's where Kieran got his first significant seat time in their Junior school - burned through an entire clutch with over 2 hours of actual seat time. This will be the first DC Pro he's missed in 4 years.

We'll also be doing Spring Nats, Summer Nats, Toledo, and the Wilmington Tour in August. No Fall Nats for us with school starting so early here.

I'm kinda in limbo this year anyway, but I went to DC once in '08 and vowed not to go back. It is just a really expensive trip compared to nationals at less populated places....and that drive sucks.

1) Spring Nationals Pro - Concrete
2) Summer Nationals Pro - Concrete
3) Toledo Pro - Concrete

One common theme there. :)

Wilmington Tour - Concrete...

So 6 more events for me this year on concrete. Wish we had some local.

I'll be at Wilmington if it actually happens. I was registered for the "first" Wilmington tour. The site looks promising. I have just decided that I'm not going to travel great distances to run on anything other than concrete. The only "non-concrete" tour I plan on attending going forward is Dixie. I'm actually passing on a couple of the North East area tours / pros to go run local events at Peru and Blytheville.
