battery

Post by oldmuscle69 »

OK I am ready to buy a battery for my Miata . I have seen several that everyone runs. What is the best bang for the buck besides jumper cables? And what CCA Do I need? I would like it to be reliable.Thanks.

I use an Odyssey PC680 in my first gen RX-7. It's about 15#'s and not much bigger than a factory radio. If it'll cold start a carb'd rotary then it should start a Miata just fine.

I have this for sell. Bought one for my CRX and My other CRX (which both got sold) Never used this one. Was going to put it in the Miata but the Miata already has one.

http://knoxville.craigslist.org/pts/3773319447.html

Price is very negotiable seeing how it's been sitting next to my computer desk for two months.

$100

Also, has a warranty and XS Power is local (located close to chillhowee park).

Looks like what Josh has for sale is a rebranded Odyssey that was discussed earlier. You should go buy that, Bob.

The Odyssey battery is what I have in the Focus. It cranks a little slow on the coldest mornings when left outside overnight. Always started though. And when it's in the garage, as usual, it starts up just as well as any 30 lb battery.

tiny Odyssey is what's in my CRX .. it's at least 4 yrs old ... the only problem I've had was this past winter ... the cold zapped it ... .all I did was pull it out, take it inside, charge it with a home charger (not a new, fancy type.... it's at least 45 yr old from Sears) .... since then it's started every time (13 #)

Are there parts to hook up the OEM cables without cutting and splicing?
