wow... just WOW...

Post by John Brown »

wow that the event site was a welcome change to the ETR ! A couple of unforseen bumps kept the runs "surprising" to say the least.. lol
I had a great time out today after a long time out of the car..

and..
WOW! that there was only 1 driver in Pro class. Iv not seen anything near that since the class started many years ago..

Well next weeks event is open and I hope for good weather and a good turnout. Todays course and runs were a very fast turn around after each run you almost had to go again within 4-5 min. It made for some warm tires and some hot laps. The new lot was a welcome change and we will run some ones car at speed before the next event at smokey stadium to make sure we get the bumps out of the speed lines where it does not upset the car as bad. All in all we had 6 runs and were done with both run groups by 1:30. Looking forward to next week and it is open so sign up and come out to play.

I'm Glad to have seen my car driven today.I tried a bit too hard to copy the time, over drove again. I had A freaking hoot with the Judge. He seemed to be a really down to earth guy.I would like to see him come out with his 91 Miata. I think he would be well taken care of.Jim gave him the best ride as far as thrill rides go.The course was great and fast.Great job to J.Y. and his fine tuning help.In Out and done all dry!!!!! Thanks ETR.

It was tons of fun as always! With two drivers, the time between runs was exremely fast. Our brakes were smoking after each run and the tires did not like it either. The rears got super slick and the brakes were fading like we were gonna go through the fence. My first run was the fastest haha and Walker's was his second. Still, we drove it hard and had a blast!

I would have liked to have made it out but I didn't even realize there was an event until I had made other plans.

I hope to bum a ride next week and get the CRX out when I find some more time.

What is the surface like? I know that a bunch of people, including myself, broke stuff when we ran there years ago.

Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make it a very smooth event, that does not happen by luck. Other than my little scare, it was a lot of fun! Great course design for that lot, it was nice running somewhere else.

Fun event, glad we missed the rain! Hope I didn't hold up the event too bad... after that coolant line popped off it seems we never fully got the system bled all the way again and had heat issues the rest of the day along with some intermittent fuel starvation. Hopefully that's all fixed now!

Had a blast as always! Fun course. Finally had the rear break loose for a spin for the first time this weekend (actually a couple times). Felt good to see/feel the limit. I also caught myself driving looking out the passenger window. I was happy about that! Anyways thanks for everyone's hard work for both Saturday and Sunday being fun and smooth. First Class ETR!
