I've got people hounding me here to go... I've got a free ride out, almost free hotel room.... and a possible car to drive if I decide I can go.

Just don't have the days marked off the calendar for vacation. That and a few other odds and ends.

Anyone want to go, early registration ends this FRIDAY.

I am absolutely going, but I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it.

I haven't spent much time in the car this year and I'm not really happy with it at this point, so I'm not thrilled at the idea of paying to tow out myself. Another option is to haul out 8 wheels and tires and co-drive another STS car. I'm not sure of the most cost effective way to do that.

Then of course there is the option of finding a different ride all together. I really need to find a way to ride out with someone or have someone ride with me.

Steve...

So is there a caravan heading out from Knoxville? What about Lynn, Jeff, John and so on?

Like Peru... this is all coming on at me very quick. I have to figure out if I can get time off ( switch vacation around ) and then see if I can get a ride in SS.

Two of my local SS guys are offereing to take me out with them, and if I can't find a ride in SS, I'll most likely register his SS car in SSP and get my ass handed to me.

The plan right now is STX. Logistics TBD.

Steve, no updated on how you felt you did?

Considering you don't have a lot of seat time in the car, that's not a bad result IMO.

Glad you made it and went.

I really didn't have any expectations, but I set a higher standard for myself.

The car owner Chris was unhappy with the car. He likes really loose cars. I don't. I take a run and it is pretty loose, but I don't really have a point of reference. He runs and said the car was really loose. He makes changes and the car was pushy when I wanted it to turn and still stupid loose when I wanted it to be stable. Day 2, it was back to stupid loose. I had a real good handle on the transitions, but I didn't have the skillset and comfort level to drift all the sweepers. I think there were some bushing issues in the rear suspension or maybe something would bind.

I think it was an experience that will help make me faster in other cars.

Everyone hates those tires now.

Assuming I'm in the CRX and not in GP or STX, I've got a plan up my sleeve for next year. I think it might be faster than the Toyos.
