Downhill can be faster, on event four going downhill I hit 72 mph right before braking and I have never hit that speed at any other event at Pelli.

0 - 10% 'til ~ 9:00 am .. then 30 - 40% for the rest of the day ... though there is a lot of time for the forecast to change LOL

I didn't have room for the full treads, which would have kept the rain away. Oh, and I need to borrow air in the morning from someone. I'm all disorganized after such a long break from the car.

Big thanks to Ryan and everyone who worked hard to make this event go smoothly!!! Too bad the weather did not hold out for the 2nd run group. Very challenging, long and FUN course!

Thanks to Ryan & the setup folks.. and thanks to JB for suggesting running Pro in 1st group!

Also thanks to RC for sandbagging and giving me a W.. and for riding along & giving me some feedback. Hopefully Marc will get the video for my fast run posted quickly - I dont remember crossing my arms up as much when the car was light & rotating freely.

Gonna be an interesting year in Pro with JB.. hopefully I keep clipping you by .100 every event!

P.S.: Brad - you need to put a P in front of that SSM! None of us mind that you're under weight :pirate:

I was liking the course and then it rained,(@$^%#!&%). So much for grip after, glad we picked up our ball and went home. I checked the grip on the way out and nothing but circle city on my car. Lin just up an took it home during the rain. Poss the best choice was to stop like it or not,no tow trucks involved or worse. We'll get to run again.

A Roush 427R is in no way, shape or form a stock class car. Roush is not an official manufacturer or re-manufacturer like Saleen and the car is not listed in the stock class list. The car is likely SM or SSM, if that. I searched the pdf of the 2013 solo rules and there is no mention of Roush in the entire document.

September, 2011 FasTrack ( http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/ass ... k-sept.pdf ):
NOT RECOMMENDED
- General, stalled car at start (5359) The EOC does not believe a rule change is necessary for this situation.
- Stock, Roush Mustang classification (4839). This package is not considered to meet the requirements of 13.0.

Thanks to everyone that helped with the course setup, and generally helping to put on a smooth event. I wish the weather had co-operated more fully, but I hope everyone had a good time. Thanks to Mike for letting me beat on his Camaro - nice to bang some rust off.

Dewitt,

We are a competitor policed sport - registration tries to do their best during the course of an event but its up to the competitors to notify the event chair of a possibly improperly classed car and have them double check the classing. If you see another improperly classed car in your class next event, please let someone know ASAP so we can get them in the right class.

As a general rule, we don't change results after an event is complete.

Ryan is correct. You need to say something to the event chair at the event if there is an issue, otherwise anyone could hop on the message board after the event and get their class changed and cherry-pick on points. Thus, the integrity of the event is compromised event moreso than a car being incorrectly classed. The Roush got the only clean run in FS anyway, all others were DNFs. Looks like he deserved the win. You were faster raw, but it was a DNF.

Results are up - http://www.etrscca.org/solo/2013-solo-results/

...and I assume that the drivers with only 1 or two runs gave up on account of weather?

We had lightning at the beginning of the 3rd runs. Delay. Restart event in a deluge. Handful of runs, lightning again, event called.

edit: I think the Civic had problems. I'm not sure why Mike only has 1 run recorded. STR, STM, and T didn't get a chance at a recorded 3rd run.

We had a timing issue where some runs didn't get recorded before the first lightning strike. I think he was one of the ones that had a rerun but never took it.

Grid told me they forgot to swap numbers for what I would assume is one of Mike's runs. Quite a few people got hosed with only two runs, but there were more thunderstorms inbound.
