You can try mine before you pull the plug. I bought another 2 7.5's to put the Toyo's on.

And you are right about them feeling fast - I thought I was killing it....... till I saw the clock :?
This won't be the case with my car. They'll feel fantastic and the clock will show it!!!!

949 ran the 225 15x9 setup on one of their enduro E3 cars in a sprint race and won with them. They said the tires greased out after abour 20-25 minutes, but competitive enough especially in a deep E3 field that are usually on much much softer compounds.

In reality, I think they'll be faster than the kooks.

I really think the 225's need an 8" rim .. the 7 1/2 is maybe pinching them a tiny bit too much ... ????

I thought about my day some more. John had a 67.8 Kristo had a clean 69.5, I had a way dirty 69.5 on my last run. I don't think I really gained time with my cones. I coned the bottom slalom because I lost the front end and then my timing was just off with the finish slalom. It was my third event of the year and first in the CRX since October. I dropped time each run. There were probably 7 or so places where I could have dropped a tenth or more.

...and that is with how the car sits. I think we totally whiffed on setup last year and it hasn't been touched.

Since the Rivals are the awesomeness, y'all have any toyos with some life left in em I can run on the rallyX Rocco when karts can't run? My brain is probably writing checks my body can't cash here, but hey, since the Rival is gonna make the Toyo obsolete, I could use some 195 or so 15" toyos. K. Thanks

dammit JB! You're making me nervous!

...Hollis said the 225 rivals are much, much better on a 9" wheel right Marcus? MAGIC, RIGHT?!

I swear, if theyre slower than the Kooks... there will be blood.

Yeah I'm was definitely bench racing and trying to make myself feel better :P

The only way to know if the rivals are faster than the kooks on my car's setup is to run them, take data, and then evaluate. They may need some alignment and tire pressure changes, but there has been a lot positive feedback on them. They will probably last longer than the kooks as well.

Also, Junior did pretty well with them at DC ProSolo!

Edit: I asked Emilio directly if he would use the BFGs over the RS3s for an auto-x on a car like mine(which is basically like his "street" auto-x car) and he said: " Marcus: Yup, the Rival becomes the default tire for the 95R. "

I have ran them all. Z1's, Kooks, Z2's, BFG's.

Don't get your hopes up for a magic pill. My initial feeling is it will depend on driver and conditions. Since switching to Dunlops from Hankooks, I have trophied every time. I switched to BFG's and got my a$$ handed to me last weekend at the DC Pro. Plus, I now have the tire seam split issue the BFG's seem to be having which is concerning but apparently nothing to worry about.

What is really funny is we still have a decent set of Kooks. I almost want to get them mounted and try them out. The only thing I really liked about the kooks last year was they were a no maintenance tire. No spaying water, etc...run them and go fast.

BTW...Jr finished second but he still got trounced by a significant margin.
