This is what the rules have to say:

"New car makes, types and models will be classified by the SEB as soon
as sufficient information is available to do so. The SEB may reclassify a
car within the 12-month period following its initial classification, without
the approval of the Board of Directors. “Initial classification” includes
the addition of a new listing on an exclusion list. Initial classification is
inclusive of a new listing on an exclusion list."

I'd recommend checking some of the newer fasttracks and seeing if they have given in an initial classification. I'd guess SS based on the fact that is where the C6, but they are proposing wholesale changes to stock next year.

Otherwise run it in FS and make your best argument that its a "V8 sedans, pick-ups, and sedan derived
convertibles NOC" (2013 Rules, App. A).

I think it would go to SSP until it is classed in stock.

Paul, I saw a fastrack proposal that had 02-04 zo6, c6 and the c7 going to AS. I don't have a clue how they could class the c7 yet. Do we need to make a pact on a couple of c7's ? There is a new mustang coming out also that has me very interested. BTW I am still looking at car's, can't seem to find anything I like.

After reading a couple of the post on here I may just look for a FS car since that seems to be where all excitement is

The last time I talked to a dealer He knew nothing. Do I need to inquire again?

you'll have a class to run in next season, but for the end of the year you'll be in SSP.

I'm pretty sure the car will end up classed in SS with a possibility for AS but I kind of doubt it.

I agree with Mark, the scca is trying to get the camero/mustang battle in as. I don't think they will throw the vette in that as well.

Has anyone successfully campaigned a 5th gen Camaro? It looks to me like a fat turd with no good tire options in stock class. I'd be jumping ship to Ford if I were in the market to replace my Camaro.
