Regional #7 Pellissippi Epilogue

Post by EliseAutoXr »

Thanks to everyone who worked hard to put this even on. Sucks the 2nd group could not get all their runs in before the rain started. Great course, I liked how there was no chance of heading down the hill before you where supposed to.

Thanks for all the help, everyone! I thought it went pretty well. If you had told me this morning that only one run group would have one wet run, I would not thought you were bat crap crazy. :D Thanks again!

frustrating day - car was sliding all over the place and I couldnt figure out how to go faster without that happening. Seemed like a fun course, just tough to enjoy when you're not going as fast as you want.. thanks for all the setup/teardown work people put in.

Course was a little too turnaroundy for my preferences and the car a little too frontwheeldrivey mid turn and on exit. The middle of pro was pretty competitive, so it was fun to mix it up in that.

Huge thanks to Jim for loaning a trailer spare and to all those that offered to help.

Great time today until rain again in second run group   Again.Closer to Walter than ever before. This is now getting real fun.I think not changing the car and just driving has helped a ton,not to mention the subliminal tips from other drivers with similar cars. PS thanks for the mention of the setup folks who help make these things happen!!

Fun day! The course ran a lot smoother than it walked. Some lay-outs I've never seen at pelli, it was refreshing.

The car was decent, it was sliding a lot though. Might need to do a few tweaks to see if I can make it any better. Only our 3rd event on the rivals, with the last major event being on concrete.

Thanks for the event everyone!

Thanks! Working on editing the pics right now and should have them up tomorrow night! Pretty sure I got at least one of every car that ran today.

I appreciate you guys letting me come out and join you yesterday. I had a blast running with a new club and meeting some great people.

David, Thanks again for the co-drive, and remember if you are ever in Louisville, you have a seat available.

Course was challenging and fun. I know sliding is not fast, but sometimes it was just too hard not to splurge and drift through a corner or two. The lot reminded me of a smaller version of the lot at FedEx fiield, where they hold the DC Pro. It took a run or two to get used to the elevation changes and differences in grip.

Great day, Great people, Great fun.... I hope to come join you again sometime

Yeah, I think that is why a lot of us here that have been don't really feel like DC is worth the trouble.

Believe me.. when I laid it out I thought it sucked.. but hey.. I didn't even know I was designing it for that event..I thought I was just gonna throw out cones for Curt.. :?

but when I got it all laid out and walked it the first time..making small changes here and there..I decided..eh,not too bad for a 0 minute design. LOL!

Thanks Scott! for not requiring TOO many changes.. I got really irate towards him in the drive thru.. sorry man.. but it sucks azz to get there at 630-700 am and lay down a course with my best safety abilities..just to have to start all over again at 10AM..

I had a great time..and Im way ahead of last year.. 2 wins vs NO WINS!
and about that pic of Cathers sliding.. heehee.. made me smile...everytime it kicked out sideways with him. :eating:

Its great to see all the different names coming up in pax !!! I think its time for a certain yellow car to come to Pro..
