count me as a tentative yes.. though if it forecasts rain, I'm gonna switch to something with a roof

I know my sparco kart suits are water absorbant. Racing shifters in the rain is scary and fun, but no way in hell am I gonna go drive around cones in a parking lot in the same conditions.

If the Tyvec painting suits are like the Tyvek suits I used to wear to enter contaminated radiological areas, they don't breathe at all. They are probably as waterproof from the outside in as they are from the inside out.

But it melts at 275F and will burn with a high temp applied. Not my first choice to withstand burning gasoline or oil.

My skin will start to scald around 120 degree F with 2nd and 3rd degree burns well before 275. Skin will also catch fire if exposed to high temps. :P one reason I like the ICC kart motors is your elbow isn't resting on the exhaust like on a Honda.

This was thoughts on cheap goofy rain gear, not a fire suit. I can't think of any rain suits that wouldn't be flammable.

Paul, let me know if it doesn't.

I'll put some decent tires on the front and if Kim lets me come down that weekend you can drive the Z06.

I have a local event that weekend, but we'll see what happens. Replacing a rear hub this week on the car.

Thanks Brian!
We can play it by ear. I'm still hoping it might show (and early enough to put some miles on it before Adesa!)
Hopefully your car's hub is a simple fix!

Yes, it's pretty easy. I've done the fronts before, but the rears just involve getting the half-shaft disconnected in the process.

I'm keeping my fingers x'd for you getting the car as well. Want to see it out there. Hell, you might end up being the 1st customer car that is autocrossed.
