C5 Vette to STU?

I read somewhere but can't find it now the C5 Vette was being placed in STU. Is that true? Anyone know when/if it will be come true? Trying to find out what models exactly will fit.

Any thoughts on whether it will be competitive?

It was up for comment. Non-Z06/non-FRC's. You could probably get the FRC's included pretty easily.

Interesting to me, but no idea how competitive it would be, since there is basically no data on those cars on streets.

They can use an unlimited wheel but 285 rubber. What size tire does that equate too? Not sure why I am interested in this, I am exploring several options I guess. Jr. Johnson, American Street Car Series review has got me on a Vette kick.
