Oct 6th Work Detail

Post by jcoatney »

If you have a preference please let me know so we can have things sorted out before the event. Thanks.

It looks like Disney and Harp are going to miss this one, is there anyone else who knows how to get the laptops up and running?

I should be able to set up the computers, so count me in for registration and setup.

Also means that if someone has a mifi please bring it.

It works as a router to network the laptops together. Phone won't do that to my knowledge

Do the radios have headphone jacks? A decent set of headphones does a lot to minimize noise. A designated communicator with headphones in control might be a good idea. Then you could run an actual communications net with the stations calling in to control, control acknowledging, the station reporting and control acknowledging the report. We have to do this at races. In fact, there is also a dedicated logger in race control to record the communications, but that's probably overkill for an autocross.
