Been out of it too long. - What Class and Tire Question
Re: Been out of it too long. - What Class and Tire Question
I think we are both talking about 2 different things. Mine is a stock car and I am running street tires. I was wondering what class I needed this year due to the Stock class changes (r's to Streets). My car could run in DS, STU, SM, STM and some type of SP class.

I think a WRX would be STX, not STU. STi would be in STU. But, unmodified, you should be running in DS.

as in D Street ….. R DS or DSR would be the same car on R-comps

Yep. I forgot that they moved STX from 2.0 to 2.5 engine.

The only WRX that can run STX are 02-07. The 08+ are still STU. If the 11-13 WRX was allowed, it would definitely be a great car, but I think the 06-07 can get it done too.
