Registration is pretty low at the moment. Has anyone posted up on other region websites or someplace like RRAX yet? A good explanation of what this event is about and laps on the NASCAR track might help.

Hello,

As an observation, the apparent low entry count could very well be due in part to the recently announced "Bristol Event Official Thread" and the associated requirement to use the "MSR" entry system rather than the Club's "in-house" process. Note at this writing, there are 29 entrants shown on the Region's normal online event entry system for the May 3rd Bristol event. The change in the required entry process had me confused.

I have a thought of running the old diesel rallyX Scirocco in STM.

Or if someone needs a tire warmer and doesn't mind the chance of the codriver being dizzy with monstrously nauseating amounts of nasal drip. :?

My brain is still trying to write checks my body isn't sure it wants to cash.

Since this is at a Racing complex will there be sound checks? If not I'll run and try and bring other rally cars.

a suggestion ….

maybe as you've done in the past, change the banner on the home page to reflect this event … reminding folk that it's coming up ?

Oh, there's a ton of stuff we could do. The problem is that there's no lead time, due to circumstances beyond our control.

Dates weren't finalized until this past Saturday, nor were the event details and schedule. So, by the time we get the info, it becomes too late to make a marketing push because by the time we setup registration, make a thread, create a FB event and promote it, update the website, and start spreading the word, it's only 3 weeks before the event. Ideally, we would be able to begin making a push on these types of events at least 60 days in advance.

The best thing that can happen is that everyone make a post about this event on your own facebook page to try to get entries up.

No sound policy for this event, but keep it sane.

That's why. it's the best site to get the rallyX folks to come out and see that pavement isnt the debil!! No sound control, lots of pavement, good cause, laps around the speedway..

Which means if you are within 25 decibellllllls of the GT500 with the roush exhaust on it, you are still way too loud.
