On data it showed a peak spotted for me at around the same.. that was at the cross over.
Didn't help that my tires were zombie versions that just didn't want to die.. up until this event

I set that course up to utilize grip.. obviously it wasn't there.. lol  Had there been.. the salom would have been the only place the small cars could have capitalized. The entry would have been extremely fast. Not to mention how fast the crossover would have been if you could have even attempted to throttle up!! :eating:

I was shocked how slick the place was.. much worse than Toledo the first 2-3 years..

We were seeing 54-55 going past the last cone in the slalom and 58-60 going through the chute. (Fastest run however never got over 56 at the chute)

You really had to just cut distance to be fast. Much like driving in the rain.

I am pretty disappointed at the initial level of grip of the place. We are trying to find a way to clean up the dirt/dust before the next event. Not sure what the cost could be or what to even use at this point. You can see where the line was cleaning up how the concrete was looking more white and off line it was still yellow in appearance from the dirt.

I hope everyone is right and it will get better. I hope we get to keep the site long enough to get it there! :D

Thanks to everyone who came and ran. Really appreciate it! As I have said time and again, we NEED ya'll to make this work and will do just about anything to make it the best place to run.

I think a real street sweeper will be the only option.. its got to be brushed and vacuumed to get that crap off of it. Plus, we generate dust with every pass by chipping off the peaks of the combed concrete I do believe.

Agreed... one of those big wheeled brushes or a street sweeper that sucked up the dust as it cleans.

I'm all for coming back. I'm used to driving an hour to autocross back home so that's nothing for me.

was there an orange grove on the course ? and wtf is a "good corner used Toyo" ? and I thought the course was concrete … knifes ???
Ya see Walter, We had a freaking hoot. The first run group lost any tire they had due to new concrete. The knives were the new edges of the surface that just killed any tire that ran on it. That said this was a virgin/virgin event. So now we know. But as prior stated a CRX poss could have won.Sorta like being in rain.Any hoot we rocked and had fun switching back and fourth. Still have dead tires. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
its weird, but honestly my tires dont seem to me overly worn after this event. i was in the first run group, so maybe it was so dusty it provided a bit of a buffer? i dont know, but i agree it was slicker than greased goose shit out there in the beginning. i watched some videos of the first run group and all the cars were throwing plumes of dust.

If they have a fire truck with a high pressure hose it will also clean the surface very fast and it will also knock off the chips from the pressure.

They make street sweeper like runway cleaners. They're mainly used to remove the rubber from the landing zone, but should work for dust too. It's possible that the jetport already has one. I suggested that they ask the jetport management on the CR forum.
