Street class moves for 2015

Sooo I honestly didn't think they would move the base C5, but whatevs. They did move the GTi to H-Street though..... that car ain't slow in stock form, so stack a squishy ass pax on top of that and bam Pro winner! It probably pushes like a pig though.

Lol, do you think there's that many 302s that will run?

The 2011 GT wasn't competitive nationally in FS this year before moving the Boss 302. Then there's the 2015 Mustang with IRS. Besides, it's time to move on and try something different.

At least in ESP, I can put a decent seat in the car.

In fact, I had ordered springs, camber plates and a front sway bar before I heard about the Boss 302 move.

Dewitt, which shocks do you plan on running and are you going to a wider wheel?

I've corresponded with Sam Strano about this. I'm going to stay with the Koni yellow shocks that I already have to start with and use the Steeda Ultralite springs to lower the car a little. A Torsen T2R diff and a Fays2 Watts Link are in the plan as well as a rear upper control arm of some sort. There may be new options for rear lower control arms next year too. Coilovers will come later, probably after engine mods like headers and clutch/flywheel. The wheels will be the Enkei PF01 18x10.5 that he sells and I'll put 315/30 Hoosier A6's on them. He thinks he might be able to find me a used set, maybe even with tires. Of course that means a tire trailer as I'm not going to buy a tow vehicle and car trailer.

Watching Jadrice's ESP Boss 302 at zMax the other day was a revelation, not that I'll ever be that fast. Eyeballing the 2014 results, it looks like I could have won ESP with my car in Street trim this year.

JB,

Sorry, I should have been more specific. It should have been: Eyeballing the 2014 ETR results..., and would have won is not quite correct.

Event # my time Andrew Hodge's time points:
1 58.390 64.537 100 90.475
2 68.835 70.290 100 97.930
3 91.529 -------- 100
4 55.199 53.533 96.981 100
5 -------- 69.317 00.000 97.868
6 -------- 59.924 00.000 100
7 375.799 ------ 100
8 114.846 118.030 100 97.302
9 45.703 45.415 96.449 97.060

total points so far
me: 693.43
Andrew: 680.635

So I would be winning ETR ESP at the moment, but I wouldn't have clinched. Considering that I'm going to miss two of the last three events, I could still lose, but it would be close and my car is in Street class trim, stock ride height, 200TW tires, etc.

I would certainly hope a small rwd car like a mustang would be beating an SUV like a forrester no matter what.
