I think the temp of the tires would have a lot to do with the margin of victory here. The Toyo's love the cold but those big ole Hoosiers hate the cold temps!

John I am guessing we aren't going to see the little 15 pace slaloms we have seen in the past? Its funny when guys build courses that they build them not thinking about the bigger cars until they have to drive one.

Great job John and I wish I could have been there too see it. Is there anybody that is going to give John a run for his money because if not then should we just put his name on it next year too?

I was way off the marks on my first run.. and it was so slick.. I knew I had to slow my entry down.. a lot.

our saloms were 21 paces with one or 2 more than that..

Yea, I wished you had been there too..
One thing I noticed was KK crazy amount of wheel spin off the line.. geez! I hardly spun at all..

This will be the hardest year to win... (short of when it was me and you) new cars running on old pax numbers has been hard. Next year will be easy.!

that should get em fired up! lol

Kristo would have been un touchable... had he got a handle on his car early this year!~!

Were you running the original version of the RS3's or Version 2?
Kristo was on the V1's. The V2's seem to be good in the cool and or the wet.
I was one the V2's and noticed i had A LOT of wheelspin on launch. mine didn't seem to dislike the cold too much, but man were they loose. which was a lot of fun, but the car was way looser than i expected.

16 pace is foot to the floor in JY's car. The times they are a changing and cars are a lot faster than they used to be and that's why we are seeing courses faster than they used to be too!

JY, we have rules to follow. We still cheated a little with the change.

The sport has gotten much faster over the years, but we still need to turn the steering wheel.

FWIW, I dropped around 1.5 seconds from run 1 to run 2. Had a good run on run #3 but coned it. So, it was a tough one to get right for sure.

I love what Pellissippi has done for us in giving us a consistent place to run, but I am really not looking forward to running there in this RX8 in Pro next year. Not that we really have any options.

The ADESA course was fun and pretty technical in a few spots. I actually felt that it was more balanced than even the SeDiv courses this year at smokies. The 4 four cone sandcastles were tough, but could be done fast if you slide-wiggled (that's the technical term) the car through them. That's where I coned my third run.

Yep I got the rules deal and trust me I was turning the wheel, I may have to buy a small car to run at some events...LOL My thing is if you drive a front wheel or all wheel drive you need to keep in mind they don't drive or handle like a rear wheel drive car in pinchy tight corners. It makes it more apt to spin, the car has to be able to set as you turn with power or it will snap spin.

Steve if you ever get a chance to drive a 3600 pound rear wheel drive with 520 whp in a corner that is pinchy, you WILL BEG to be in a fwd.

but when we have "stop, turn, and go … especially up hill" it's hard to argue against rear drive + 500 hp

Hey I agree walter. That's the difference its hard to come up with a fair course at our sites. Looking back at adessa results hardly any power car has won. I guess that is just the nature of that lot.
