Ryan may be familiar with your car, but it would make it easier to answer the question for those of us who aren't if you described the car and its modifications. It's possible you've done something that would put it in Prepared or Modified rather than Street Prepared.

I say ASP only because i know you used to run that on street tires, but that class does allow for slicks.

If it has a TW rating, doesn't that imply that it's DOT approved? But JB is correct, a pure slick tire with no DOT label on the sidewall is not approved in Street Prepared. There has to be at least one groove in the tread. Hoosier A6 tires, which are DOT legal, have two narrow circumferential groves. If the tire size starts with a P, as in P315/30ZR19, it's DOT approved.

I was going to say the same thing. Hoosier A6 is your friend. ;-)

On more question guys, would a set of hoiser a6 tires last a season with two people drining the car ? Because I have picked up a sponsor, they are buying the tires and iam trying to give him a round about annual cost. We are new to the sport our driving habits would reflect that extra wear on the tires and the car is 3000 pounds.

Rule of thumb for A6s in my experience is about half a season. V710s would usually last a year, but they aren't quite as fast. Half that for two drivers.

Hoosiers

Runs 1-10 are awesome.
Runs 10-40 are pretty awesome.
Runs 40-60-cords can vary depending upon the car, but you're typically giving up time.

If you're not running nationally, you might get a whole season, but you'll notice a loss of grip for the last half of the season probably.
