Since you were at the limit and not above it, I didn't call it in. I intended to talk to you after your runs but didn't see you. A setup from Mr. Coatney would help a bunch or you might be able to just put a couple of turn-downs on it. I agree with what Chris said, that the lack of a cat probably is the difference.

Did it really sound that loud? from inside the car it doesn't really sound that much different than it did last year. But it is different for sure.

I wasn't watching the meter when you ran but I suspect it was loud when you were on the limiter. It didn't seem too bad to me when it was just on the boost.

Is being on the limit of sound considered just as bad as breaking sound?

If I won't be allowed to participate again unless I make a modification, any suggestions are welcome.

Short answer is yes, it's just about as bad.

Sound is a funny thing, ambient conditions can vary the measurement quite a bit.

If you're right at the limit, it's just a matter of time until you catch a condition that puts you "over" the limit.

We try not to run people off, or ruin their day, but when it gets to a point where everyone knows you've been repeatedly cautioned about being borderline (or over), and yet choose to do nothing about it...

At some point we have to start handing out DNFs and running people off.


So at this point you've been cautioned only once I'm aware of - but it was right from the beginning - first autocross in that car at Pellissippi?

Walter I have been trying to put a post up on the issue,TOYFALKHUBFGCRAP. do not work for our class. I have heard going back to some sort of STONES,since the T tire was shaved below the PUBE line and looked like junk(center gone and shoulder sorta there) I am not into this sort of BLAHHH BLHAAA. So I cant at this time tell you anything yet. Hope you rest good tonight.

I sorta get what you've said (Toyo, Falken, Kuhmo, BFG, … crap … correct ?) … thinking of Bridgestones .. and the 140 Toyo's looking like slicks … is that about it ?

but that then begs the question … what did you run on for event 1 ?
