The only thing I knew was I overheard someone say that he would have to forfeit if he won. I didn't know they were talking about Bob though.

I can't install coilovers and run them in CS, but if no one calls me on it, then there is no enforcement of the rule.

Anyway, sounds like we should have DNF'd Bob's runs. Let me know if that's what needs to happen because I still have the laptops.

If one of his competitors didn't lodge a protest before the results were made final....aren't the results then final? I think I't something that should be addressed.....but this is a self policed sport.....if he passed tech and a protest wasn't lodged I think he gets what he got for event one....but there after he should be protested or forced to move to STM/SMF/XP at registration.

Right or wrong, we don't really have a formal protest opportunity or preliminary results.

From my understanding, it was decided before the fact that he wasn't running for points. It just wasn't clearly expressed to the people that hit the buttons on the computer.

Eric, the notes should be in the trailer, but the runs I remember were 97, 98, and 101. I don't think you made it past the meter at full tilt on the other two. I don't know enough about using the meter to say how well it was positioned...I feel like it should've been halfway up the hill like it typically has been--most cars were barely breaking 80. I'd say your Miata may get even higher #s on another day.

I was told anything over 90 gets written down. 97.5 is the limit. If a car goes over, they should be warned....second warning, changes have to be made to the car before being allowed back out (ie turndown). Third time, they are done for the day.

at what point do you record a DNF? I know from personal experience that 98 and above your times don't count. If that has changed please let me know
