2016 ETR Schedule

The 2016 ETR Schedule is set and is as follows:Event 1 March 12 test n tune with March 13th Event 1 at Pelli, Event 2 April 3rd at Pelli, Event 3 April 24th Smokies, Event 4 May 14th at BMS this will be a Saturday event and part of the ETR Match Tour for May 14th and 15th, only Saturdays runs will be etr points, Event 5 June 5th at BMS, Event 6 July 9&10 Chilhowee, Event 7 Aug. 6&7 at BMS and it is also the Sediv event, Event 8 Aug. 28th at pelli, Event 9 Sept 18th at pelli, Event 10 Oct. 1 etr school and Oct. 2nd at smokies stadium, Event 11 Oct. 22nd Adessa, Event 12 Nov.6th at Pelli....If any dates conflict we will make changes to the schedule. Points Event #4 / Match Tour Saturday and Sunday May 14th & 15th National Match Tour at Bristol Motor Speedway this will be a 2 day National Match Tour with Saturday’s results counting as your ETR Points Event #4

Points Event #5 (Charity) Sunday June 4t & 5th at Bristol Motor Speedway

Points Event #6 Saturday and Sunday July 9th & 10th at Chilhowee Park

Points Event #7 Saturday and Sunday August 6th & 7th at Bristol Motor Speedway “Rumble In The Hills” SeDiv event

Points Event #8 Sunday August 28th at Pellissippi

Points Event #9 Sunday September 18th at Pellissippi

ETR Novice Driving School Saturday October 1st at Smokies Stadium

Points Event #10 Sunday October 2nd at Smokies Stadium

Points Event #11 Saturday October 22nd at Adessa

How will Pro points work for a Match Tour?

We will take etr members and input the times with the classes and and the winners will be determined and we will have to input the times in the computer ourselves. Only your first 3 runs count from Saturday morning.

All those Bristol events and two of then being two days make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Uh, the PSCC dates have not been cleared with them as yet. I sent a email to them a few minutes ago. I would not publish these dates yet.

Dates will more than likely stay the same and if we have to change locations we will try to get smokies stadium if we can. We may be able to change one or two dates...maybe, but we can make changes as needed.

Just throwing this out there.

The "Pro Class Points" for the Match Tour event will be a point of debate. As we all know, the reason the format for the Match tour program was tweaked to take the top 8 from each run group rather than the top 32 in pax was due to the inconsistency in course conditions between run groups. I.E. big swings in temperature, quality of surface (dirty in the morning, dirty after an oil down etc etc etc), rain....etc etc etc.

The message to the pro class competitors either needs to be "It is what it is for this one event and don't bitch and moan about it" or some methodology to account for the varying conditions should be considered.

Only one of 12 events ...you said it best ...We thought about only having 11 events on the schedule but by using this format we can still have 12 events and throw aways. This event will be an ALL HANDS ON DECK effort as it is....we want this to great event for ETR.
