There is a very reasonable chance the car is found non-compliant, but it wasn't really any faster than the other top cars.

To my knowledge, the protest has nothing to do with the head.

Jeff Wong just posted on STS Nation... his view of the situation.. on FB

I want to believe that every one of us in STS is Legal. But I really have a hard time believing Honda puts an engine in a "new" car without an Engine number. How in the hell would you know its the engine that came in the car, while under warr???

... Also, has anyone read the article on David Whitener in Sports Car?? anything seem odd? or did I just read it wrong? lol

The ones without the stamping are the blocks purchased from Honda. I assume they aren't stamped because they aren't matched to a car.

I guess he is saying that some originals don't have stamping. That's weird.

Nope. Not weird. Many manufacturers have blocks that can be used as the base for several motors. When the replacement motor is built, the tech will stamp or scribe the code to what the block is built to.

Wait, is he saying the car left the factory without a stamping ? Ok, that is wrong/weird.

I fully expect some good stories this weekend to be told for those of us that didn't go.
