For those that don't know what Double cross is this will help and looks like a blast we've got to do this.

Here's a video from the 2007 event in Atlanta. Really doesn't do it justice.

Ok, so here's the scoop. We have a 3-event series, possibly 4. We have our event in Bristol, Birmingham has an event at their Hoover site, and we possibly have an event coming at the black lake. These events will be a DragCross. This is like a Pro Solo except the courses are not equal. Your times from each side will be added to get your total fastest time. The operation will be slightly different from a Pro but you will still have elimination rounds on the second day. I haven't done one of these but my understanding is everyone will have a good shot of getting into the elimination rounds (again, operation is different from a Pro) and it should be a lot of fun.

Now for the really cool part... The final event, likely in October, will be a "Champion of Champions" event, likely held in Atlanta. This will be a DoubleCross. You have to qualify for this event by running at least one of the DragCross events. It will probably be in your best interest to do more than one. It has been roughly 8 years since anyone has done one of these and they are a freaking blast! I love Pros and I like a DoubleCross even more. See the posts above for basic videos explaining how it works. These events consist of day one being "qualifying" runs and day two being elimination runs. They are double elimination. It is in your best interest to qualify well since you will get a better match in the bracket if you are a top qualifier. Everybody is in the elimination rounds!

ATTN STM DRIVERS!!!!!!
I have asked Mr. Dobler to be sure STM has a place to play. This is your chance to get out of town and see some other competition. You need to know many other regions have something similar to STM but most of them run on 200tw tires. We have no say in the divisional rules for this class but if you are buying tires for the season and you think you might want to do this event, I would strongly encourage you to get 200tw tires.

Yes drag start with the tree and not that far of a run from the start before the first turn.

Do we have a date for Bristol? Will it be the Aug event? I'm about to commit to Blytheville in a few hours.
