Check out Sam Strano's FB. There's a post and discussion on there.

Sounds like you have to make incredibly sure that your stage light isn't going to flicker as the car moves forward into the RL beam, otherwise you get a RL. So, in other words, the stage light needs to have a continuous break as your car moves forward (until green light of course).

I'm going to be driving down separate Friday evening if anyone wants to ride with me or caravan. I'll have room for at least 1, maybe more if Gary takes the dog with him.

I'm going to be working the Evo Advantage with Jinx Jordan. For those that don't know, Evo Advantage is kind of like a Phase 1 lite. We jump in and out of cars as time allows and try to give you some pointers. You get a LOT of seat time on Friday morning, before the regular test and tune.

Steve Haupt might be driving my car in STF. Hopefully, we get some others in the class.

Called the National Office to get my membership straightened out. I'm now signed up with the correct home region.

Tire question: What sort of break-in period should be performed on a set of street tires before autocross? I have a new set for when the current ones are totally gone, but I'm uncertain if I should show up to a National event with new tires that have only around 100 highway miles. Suggestions, Advice, Ridicule... ??

Scrub them in at the Friday test and tune and you'll be good to go. 8-12 runs ought to do it.

For street tires, you want to be sure the mold release on the surface of the tire has been removed. IMO, 100 miles of highway driving should accomplish that. I don't think heat cycling is necessary. For R-comps, I see people driving on them with the stickers still on the tire.

Sadly I'll be in a Cisco class all that week and I'll be missing the Test & Tune. I'll figure something out though!

Cloverleafs are your friend. Note, I was talking about those green things on the ground. Not some other paved surface.
