Re: Wilmington Spring ProSolo Thread
I'm surprised. It's more than two hours since registration opened and there are only 249 registered, leaving at least 26 spots to be filled.
Harp, JB and JY are in so there are six ETR folks registered.

North Carolina Region traditionally has their double SARRC/MARRS race Mother's Day weekend and they're not breaking that tradition this year.Teufelshund wrote:Mother's Day weekend. Come on SCCA!

ES looks rough. I feel like I could drive the best I've ever driven in my life and still be 7th or 8th out of 11.

Figures... first time in years there are spots open and there are so many reasons I don't need to go.

There were still 9 spots open as of this morning at 6:20, that is unbelievable.

Still have 9 slots open as of 9am. Probably the longest a pro solo has gone in the last 3-4 years before filling up most of the time in minutes.

Re: Wilmington Spring ProSolo Thread
People are probably still trying to figure out what class their car is in. Have you guys read the latest Fast track where they are rethinking the whole street class?
Re: Wilmington Spring ProSolo Thread
Yep.
It would never fly (slippery slope and all), but I think they should allow the BRZ's to use the TRD parts and keep those cars out of ES. We know the cars are the same more or less. I'm sure that the SAC would not want this approach, as it moves more toward competition adjutment type rules, like in road racing. Still, the twins are very popular cars and moving them to ES is going cause problems imo. But, if they do move, then hell, I'll see you in ES in a year or two.
For ES and CS moves - I don't get it. These classes are incredibly healthy, and there is only risk in moving new, untested cars into the class, especially the Porsches. I don't see participation increasing in these classes with those moves.
DS - is kind of dead. AWD cars are really great fun street cars, but only a very small portion of the membership wants to run them in Street Category.

I know Cindy Duncan (KY Region) has been trying for a long time to get her V6 Mustang out of F Street.jcoatney wrote:People are probably still trying to figure out what class their car is in. Have you guys read the latest Fast track where they are rethinking the whole street class?

She solved that problem by buying a new Mustang GT. I believe she's signed up for the Match Tour.Gen52SS wrote:I know Cindy Duncan (KY Region) has been trying for a long time to get her V6 Mustang out of F Street.jcoatney wrote:People are probably still trying to figure out what class their car is in. Tough spot. Wheel hop at last event was from a bolt that was missed when my clutch was installed. Ordered at ToK, supposed to get today, but weather is delaying deliveries. Car is currently on jackstands.
