I think I'm more anxious about the specifications more than the appearance.

It's a Mazda. It will have a great suspension, but need about 40 more horsepower and may or may not be geared well.

Mazda is moving away from the Lotus Elan and more towards the BMW Z3/Jaguar F type

The new Mazda Z3F should be lighter than previous Miata, but no exact specs were released in this fashion show

Confirmed to be 220lbs lighter than the NC, so it will be around 2200lbs. No confirmation on the engine yet.

It's also a 4-lug which makes for a weird choice for wheels.

I thought all Miata's were 4 lug

Walter, NCs are 5 lug.

I'm starting to wonder if the 4 lug on the car they introduced means anything at all. It's not the exact production car they revealed. Going back to 4 lug on this car would be backwards in my mind. It is definitely a 17x9 car... not a 15x9 car.

Not really backwards, just weird. They did it to save weight :-\ There's some 4x100 17x9 options, but only a fraction compared to the 5x114 17x9 options.

Depending on the engine, I may be pushing really hard to get a ND for STR :-D
