I'm getting on the elevator today, and a guy with a beard in his 40s gets on at the same time, along with his GF / Wife. I notice that he is wearing an older ETRSCCA shirt (circa 2009 - '10, that design is burned in my brain because the one I earned blowing my motor is framed and its the same design).
Anyway, neither the guy nor his significant other looks familiar. I decide to make some small talk about the shirt, it goes a little something like this:
Me: "What do you drive?"
Beard Guy: "What are you talking about?"
Me: "I autocross with ETR to."
BG: "Huh?"
Me: "The only way you get one of those shirts is by winning an autocross, and I don't recognize you. Just curious what you were driving because its sometimes easier to place the car than the driver."
BG: "I don't have a fucking clue what you are talking about." (Glares at me menacingly).
Wife / GF: "That shirt used to belong to my ex husband. That isn't the only thing he lost in the divorce."
(Awkward silence for the rest of the elevator ride).
So at any rate, 100% true story that I had to share. Wife didn't look familiar so your identity is safe. My condolences (whomever you are) for being married to a stone cold bitch that not only stole the shirt off your back, but gave it to her new boy friend.

Lol..... I love it.
Similarly, I lost my only "trophy" shirt from '09-'10 when I won one event in FS .... in my stock '79 Trans Am at PSCC...... during a break-up.
I really miss that "trophy" . I wonder if the new dude even knows what it is?
He just don't know the glory of winning one of those shirts, does he?
Here's all 220 HP/340 TQ pulling the HEAVY T/A up the hill at PSCC that day..... LOL!!!!
