Who/Where around here can align a 2 axle open trailer that's gotten out of alignment over a couple of decades or so?
Thanks!

Re: car trailer alignment?
There's really not anything adjustable on trailer axles. A new idler axle assembly is $200 and a brake axle is $300. This is completely assembled with new leaf springs and all. It may be best to just replace them if it's wearing out tires or pulling funny.

Jon is correct, the bushings and shackles are most likely well worn and the locating pins for the spring perch ( if yours even had them) same with wheel bearings and cones. give all that a real good look over. Oh and pot holes will bend a spindle.

Yeah, we know that the axles are not parallel at this point (via string measurement). So really it's more an issue of replacing stuff vs. adjusting anything then. Good to know (somewhat cost unfortunate though).

Advised interested party they should probably just bin it and buy the enclosed trailer they've been wanting for probably 5 years, lol.oldmuscle69 wrote:So what have ya done?
Will advise when it's for sale if/when that happens
