East Tennessee Region Growth

I remember seeing East Tennessee in SPORTSCAR magazine back in 2014 as a growing region . Since then it has been a long time since East Tennessee Region has made any gains in it's growth with a publication in SPORTSCAR magazine. I'm happy to say hard work sometimes pays off. In this months April Sportscar Magazine the REGION LEADERS in the MEDIUM size market (200-400) East Tennessee made the top 3 in growth @ 1.9% based on year end membership for 2016.....

Awesome, good job guys! And we were still able to crank out 6 runs each for 3 run groups!

Awesome. Great job to everyone, from those who bring friends out to events, to those that help run the club. It takes all of us to help make it work!

And we have a great system for broadcasting on 91.5 but why does no one talk?

Maybe not enough workers this time around? Or worker jerk didn't assign someone?

When we have over 80 people, we have ample course workers, so we could have an announcer. I'm just not sure anyone really cares since we have live timing.

We had 3 heats which hurts us on workers. Might have gotten overlooked by the worker jerks.

 I knew there was a spot I missed. There were plenty of people in the first and second work groups to have an announcer, the third however was full of novices and people who haven't done anything but chase cones. So the third I was having trouble finding experienced people for key positions.

Didn't Bob just volunteer to be the announcer?

Also - I don't know if we still have the announce computer and announce tent. That position must be OUTSIDE the timing trailer.

I personally wouldn't miss having an announcer. Live timing and the scoreboard do it for me.

We had the equipment late last year. It needs to be verified when we do the trailer clean-out.

Live timing is great if you are on your phone. Non-competitors don't know to look for that and some new competitors probably don't either. Announce can be a valuable job if we have the ability to get it done.

All those are good choices having heard all of them. If Harp wasn't our course designer he's another great pick have listened to him announcing at National events. It also is a way to pass on information to spectators keeping them interested. Good tool with the right people behind the mic.

I thought Flanagan and Carpenter were banned. [emoji38]
