I enjoy when we have an announcer. Especially when they can bring detail of drivers and their cars into play.

I agree with the announcer position being if not critical then certainly a really nice to have. I came from a region with a few nationals-level announcers and they can really pump up the spectating and competitive behaviors.

My car doesn't have a radio. But it would be cool to bring it back.

If we can do it, then it probably needs it's own chief - there is some setup involved and it is definitely a specialized position. I will volunteer to show someone how to read the standings from AxWare. There's a lot of information there that can make things exciting.

See just where I was going, You have to be one of them talkie talk type of sorts to do it right. Not every one can do that or want's to. It takes five minutes or less to set up and at the present time sense we have no talkie talk types then why bother with putting these toys into play. Take last event I was asked/told to set it up and the CHAIR did not even use it. And as not being the keeper of the trailer the orange boxes were dead. I tried talkie/talk once and was told I had and Asian accent that might offend a person. not sure what that was .No more talkie for me.

Yeah, I heard the Asian thing. That was bullshit and I'm glad you're not an announcer.

The only person that you'll be entertaining is yourself.

Not on the talkie talkie point but several people have mentioned the little post it note with your time at the end of run. We usually have enough people that we could establish this. It could be a sitting job for someone needing a non physical job. I know we can set with our faces buried in our phones after each run but I like this touch at bigger events.

Folks will still have their face in the phone to see live timing. It's not only what you have done, but what others are doing to compare.

I walk mine immediately to the trash can when I get out of the car, all while bringing up solo live.

I used to put them in the glovebox in the CRX, but once the glovebox popped open. Stickies flew on course, stickies on my helmet, stickies on the windshield, stickies in the hatch, etc, etc, etc.

Add me to the list of people who think it's unnecessary. I'm more interested in what my competition is running
