Take my sled to Ted?

Post by thrdeye »

Got a P2450 on the Fix It Again Tony (as Dale Girbble would call it) this morning. Should be emissions related so likely warranty, but seems to involve dropping the tank after removing the drive line in order to replace some kind of valve. Ted still the best place around to take a Ford?

For you non King Of The Hill watchers: https://youtu.be/3AJCdmW33fM

It is the Ford F150

We've had good luck with Jacky Jones in Sweetwater.

Friendly remember to do the mechanic a solid and take it to them with as little gas in it as possible.

Lol... several years ago, when the fuel pump crapped out on my Suburban, I had just filled it up. 44 gallons and the tank had to be removed.

How old is the truck? How hard would it be to cut an access panel without catching the truck on fire? If under warranty Ted R or Jacky Jones. Jacky Jones had a better reputation with the truck crowd a few years ago.

This!

Rural King has a decent race fuel style jug for the money if you need to siphon fuel out. I had to add clamps or zip ties over the hose where it goes on to the barbed fitting to keep that from leaking, but so far it's spilled less than any of the California emmisions fuel jugs.

From my experiences, emissions codes let you get rid of gas pretty quickly. :?
