I've recently started a part-time gig with Nine Lives Racing - https://9livesracing.com .
Main focus is bringing reasonably priced aero components to the masses with data to back them.

Keep in mind, aero isn't strictly for the track..... take a quick look at Eric's SSM miata for example. I actually just spoke to a SMF competitor about putting on a big wang(68") with our dual element kit. We're making our way into producing other aero components like splitters, air-dams, cannards, etc.


If anyone in the ETR family has any questions about our products let me know. I'd also help out with a nice little discount coupon.

We've got CFD data on the wang with the dual element @ 60mph. That's the closest speeds we have for auto-x.

Note, more angle does not always mean more down-force. The Elan foil(the foil we've tooled) by itself actually stalls right above 8* AOA. With the dual element, it starts making less down-force when you have the second element at 45* or higher. The main foil is at 0* AOA in these tests.

Can you provide analysis for multiple element wangs that would be used for a FSAE car? I know one that needs some vertical down force assistance, front and rear. But then they are in the envelope of beggars.

Takes time and resource though, so $free.50 might not happen.


An analysis/consult maybe, I could get with the lead engineer and see. Might be a good learning experience that we would advertise as well. What details can you give us?
