Most of you probably know that Robert had an incident at Bristol last weekend. Everyone is ok but the car has a good bit of damage and we aren't sure how bad it is yet. I have set up a GoFundMe for him. Feel free to pass it along. Thanks in advance for any support! https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-get-rob ... -out-there

Thanks but I can't take all the credit. Jeff brought it up to me.

With everything Robert has done in the past to help drivers out, whether it's driving their car, riding along, watching what they do, or even loaning a set of wheels to someone to use, it's really cool to be able to give something back.

Great guy and hope things get fixed soon.

Need to get the word out more. Only 1/2 way to the goal.

Any word on how the car is?

min body damage (so far) in up to the seats from the front.. so lots of electrical possibilities. Not sure if it was still running when it submerged. That will be the big if. Low RPMs it may have just hydro-locked and stopped.. more RPMs than that it might suffer bent rods.
Rob has all winter to get it right. And lots of folk ready to step up to help him out!

Let me say this first. I am blown away by everybody's help and its just shows what I felt for all my years of autocrossing that autocrossers are the best people you could every hangout with and its true. I spent all day working on the car Saturday and got a long way of getting everything a part and its looking better even though Corvette's have a lot of little pieces under them that aren't on mine now. LOL Thank you again and I will keep you posted on how the project is going and yes I am going to need help so I may call on you for a hand or two.

Thank you to everybody that has helped me in a time of great need. I really went out on a limb even purchasing this car but my thoughts were I am not getting any younger and as long as I don't wreck it I could get out what I am putting into the car. Well in over 25 years and 1,000's runs later it wasn't my day that day but thanks to you guys I not only feel better about purchasing this car but I feel better that autocrossing is where I need to be back. I have really missed you guys more than you will every know!!!

Robert, I still have a number for you in my phone... check if you have mine.
I'm more than happy to come over and help out. With me having nothing to work on this winter, I'm itching to tinker.
