What is a pro solo event and what do I need to do to be in it?

A Pro Solo is a national-level event that consists of 2 mirror-image courses. They have a drag race start with a "christmas tree" and once you complete one side, you immediately swich to the other side and go again. If you are new to autocross, I would suggest running a divisional or two before stepping up to national competition.

The "wuss" comment was for the people that have been doing a lot of local events and maybe travelling to some out of region events like Chattanooga and Nashville. :) The Pro Solos are very different your first time out and you usually end up wondering what is going on. Once you run one and figure out how to do them they are a lot of fun. Personally, I would prefer to run a Pro Solo over a standard autocross.

Hmmm.....well that is far enough out that I might be able to swing it. I'll just have to see. is there any penalty for registering and then withdrawing if I can't make it?

You have to cancel at least 10 days prior to get your money back. You MUST notify them in writing if you want to cancel.

OK, I am in. I do not know for sure that I will go but you just can't beat a pro-solo. I will get the rear end handed to me but it is still the most fun way to autocross.

Just wanted to bring this one back up to everyone's attention.

The entry limit is 200 and as of right now, there are 146 registered on the web. There may be more that are registered that aren't on the web. In other words, if you plan to attend, or you think you might, you need to get your entry in very quickly.

This should be a great event and I would hate for anyone that wanted to go to miss out.

Mark, Can you enter the same car in two classes with two different drivers? I'm trying to think of a way to have a two driver car. You obviously can't compete in the same class.

This looks like a good place to stay. Not a bad price. Has anyone started to look for a place?
CABoegemann,
You can run 2 drivers in the same class. Must people want there car to be a 2 driver car. One car be the tire warmer.

Thanks for the help Mark. I've never been to a ProSolo. So it's not an elimination type of race like drag racing? Do you end up lining up against cars in different classes? I guess I was wondering how I was going to eliminate someone in my car. :?
