I heard if I joined the SCCA I would get to do an event for free is this true?

Yep, if you join at the event, we waive your entry fee for that event.

What if I joined yesterday by calling the SCCA on the phone?
Also how do I show membership before my information comes in the mail? They gave me a member #

Did they tell you about the secret handshake? I think the registration guys will take your word for it.

You just need to write your member number on the waiver, and tell the registering person that your a member. After a few events, they'll recognize you.
