Chris- I have access to a CNC router at my work and several types and thicknesses of hdpe plastic if need be. If you have artwork I can either digitize what you have or draw it in CAD myself. Let me know some more details and I can probably get something worked out for you.

Thanks. I'm so excited to build it that I might just settle for decals. Race cars need stickers.

Well, here's a couple of pics of my progress over the weekend.

A little more paint, put the seat on, and it will be ready to go.

Thought I'd keep everything in one thread.

This is not going too poorly when you consider my number of starts compared to the other leaders

need moar laps led!

All about developing a sense for the rotation of the car based on what you're seeing on a screen. Once you get that and you can 'slide' the car around, you'll start to pick up pace and win races.

I am having a really tough time with braking, I feel. I brake really early. The Miata has ABS, but it's hard to get it right for some reason. I've been tagged in the ass a couple of times going into a corner (I'll just leave that joke open for anyone that wants to run with it).

My Driving Force Pro is no help in that regard. It's starting to show it's age....especially the pedals.

I've had my DFP wheel/pedals for about 4 years.. 8000 laps of racing (oval and road), probably 3x that many laps of practice and qualifying.. the pedals are in bad shape but I make due. As much as I used to iRace I dont know why I never bought a G25/27.. nowadays I dont actually race enough to justify the $$$.

I judge my braking by the sound of the tires more than anything and find references next to the track for the next lap.. if it isn't a struggle to wrestle the car to the apex of the corner while the tires are howling, you're braking too early in the miata (for most corners anyhow).. and remember safety points don't count in practice. The more you overstep the limits and wad up cars in practice, the less you'll do it in races.. plus you'll get good at making mistakes and recovering from them without losing too much time.
