Prepped for three monitors!
Nice, but the displays are too far away actually. And I doubt I can fit in a Formula car.jcford80 wrote:

In my opinion, the current structure of iRacing is not built for the long term. Here is why:
1. With every new car release comes further dilution of the user base. Does anyone really want 5-10 racers per race in each series? Seems that is where we are heading with all of the announcements of new cars. There are numerous current series that have little participation. More cars only worsens the problem unless they are able to attract a significant amount of new members or retire old material.
2. As more tracks and cars are released, more developers are required to push out updates
- Could be one reason why releases of car and track updates are so slow, they can't keep up with what is currently out.
- Being a private company we have no idea about the financial situation of iRacing. Maybe things are as bad as they are for several other video game companies. Is the development team so small they are already overburdended?
3. If iRacing were to change the point system, it would cause mass exodus of current members. We are stuck with the current iRating and SR as major changes would likely require a reset. Who would want all the hard work for their ratings to get cleared? (Brought up due to the recent forum discussion of having a separate rating system per each car.)
4. The team needs to release a certain amount of new content and updates to keep current members satisfied. Over time members expect these updates and leave when they are not released. See the thread by Tyler Hudson as to what happens when your customers become unsatisfied.
5. Is there really a long-term plan other than to keep releasing new cars and tracks? There has been absolutely no discussion as to the direction the game is heading. Paying for a year (or more) subscription, shouldn't we at least know what the near term developments are going to be?
What does everyone think?

In this case, 5 4:3 monitors is much better than 5 16:9 monitors. Some people even feel that 3 4:3's are better than 3 16:9's
