Class question
Class question
I know a couple of guys that both own a 2007 Lotus Exige S. As far as I know they have only made cosmetic mods. Should the be in SSM or SS?

Re: Class question

Re: Class question
I know one guy only has motor mounts changed. The other has changed the air tubes going to his inter-cooler and also changed the motor mounts. I do not think either has done any thing major.
Re: Class question
Thanks, I think they will be at the EHS event and one possibly at ps #3.
Re: Class question
Sounds like they would both be ok in ASP to me. However, they might choose SSM because SSM is limited to street tires only.eunos735 wrote:The Exige S should run in ASP with those mods.

Re: Class question
I see in the rules it is ASP, but I do not understand why an Elise with a added SC is put in SSM with the same suspension, same sc, seems like it would be fair to be in SSM for the Exige? Does any one know the reason for the difference?
Re: Class question
One can get rather frustrated trying to find fairness in the rules.
The stock sway bar rule is an example. You can change the front but not the back bar. This seriously helps the RWD cars relative those with FWD.

More fun to just get out of stock and then you can make the car handle the way you want. Been years since I have run stock. About the same as you IIRC.
If I wrote the stock rules, they would say you could change one bar, but not which.
Yeah, I realize you were just throwing a jab from the RWD camp at a convert to FWD.
