Overview
ETR will be running a special two-day points event at Elizabethton High School. We wanted to give everyone a taste of what National competition is like, so this event will be a SCCA National Tour style event. Due to the nature of this event, we request that you register using our online system. Walk-ups will be accepted, but it does slow down event operation.

Format
Each competitor will make Saturday and Sunday runs. The competitor's best single time from Saturday will be added to their best single time from Sunday. The best combined time from both days will be the class winner. Make sure you run fast and run clean! Having to use a coned run as one of your fastest times certainly digs a hole for you. This format makes for some very exciting competition. The course will be at least slightly different on both days.

Classes
All National SCCA and East TN SCCA provisional classes (STM, Ladies PAX, Rookie PAX, and Pro PAX) are eligible.

The Covered Bridge Class
An additional class will be added specifically for this event for those folks that are brand new to autocross and can only compete one day out of the two. This class will be called “The Covered Bridge” class. This class will be based on PAX, much like the Rookie class. We wanted to offer a way for people from Northeast TN and surrounding area to get their feet wet and learn to enjoy autocross while competing on level ground with the rest of their class.

If you are new to autocross and want to run both days, we will require you to register using the appropriate SCCA class. In this case, you may run as a Rookie if you wish, but that is not required.

All competitors that run in the class will receive a FREE East Tennessee Region SCCA tee shirt. Each day's winner of the Covered Bridge Class will receive one free entry into any future ETR event.

Requirements to run the Covered Bridge class:
1 – You MUST NOT be an SCCA regular member
2 – The June 5th and 6th event MUST be your first autocross ever.
3 – You are only running Saturday OR Sunday – not both.

That is a long drive 2 days in a row. Is there a "host hotel" somewhere close to the event?

There are a ton of places to stay and eat in Johnson City. I will be coming from Murfreesboro for this so if anyone want's to share a room let me know.

This is really cool. There are two hotels in Elizabethton one of which is 3 minutes down the road from the site. Johnson City is just a 20 minute drive away with more accomodations and plenty of places to eat.

I can check with the owner of one motel in Elizabethton and see if he is willing to give a group discount. I will see if he is in Monday and post my findings as soon as I get a reply. The one factor that may hurt is this is the Covered Bridge days week.

Spoke with the motel people. They have 6 rooms left as at Monday 8:20 am. The group rate is $59.95. They are about 3 miles from EHS. Their phone # is 423-542-4466. Tell them you are part of the SCCA group. I can not advise regarding room conditions or quality.

when I google that I get three motels. Comfort,Americourt,and Travelers... all with that same number... ????? which one is it?
