Considering a Subaru is a boxer engine, I doubt that setup will fit. Looks Miataish to me.

But... but... How does the top come down?

Seriously, other than the bumpers, I like these cars.

Congrats Chris, I'm sure you will love it. What made you decide to go with the hatch over the sedan? I have loved the versatility the hatch gives me. Its like having a small SUV.

Are you planning on BS or STU with it?

Oops... Couldn't tell on my phone it was a WRX. I'm telling you the new WRX's are the best bang for the buck option for sure! I drove one a couple weeks ago and loved it.

I've been looking elsewhere... ;) I can't really tell the STI/WRX apart from the side.

I was seriously considering a 09 WRX when Subaru had the 0% APR... And with the 11s, you get the ability to run wider wheels/tires and probably some helpful suspension tweaks.

Based on some info I have gathered, I think Subaru could finally have a stock class contender outside of pro-solos. 17x8's are tasty and can fit 275s. The thing makes 265 at the crank, which is probably about where my STX car was. It also has the 2.5 now, so it should be able to get off the corners better than the 02-07...and it's only about 45 lbs heavier than my STX car when in DS prep. Should be damn awesome.

Eric, I decided on the hatch because of exactly what you said...versatility. I have the dog and tote hockey equipment or outdoors/fishing equipment from time to time. There is one other reason too....I think the sedans just look funky unless they have the STi spoiler, whereas the hatch looks tuff.

I also think a well driven WRX could have an outside shot in STU. The lack of fancy diffs compared to the STi is a disadvantage, but the lower weight and 5 speed are an advantage.

Those of you that know.....shoosh.
So you ordered it, as in it's not been built yet? I sell new Mazdas in Cleveland and though our port and plants themselves were not affected by the disaster in Japan, some of our suppliers were so they have stopped production for now. I hope that there is no delay on your new ride!
